Self-defense advice from an American Idol contestant

During this time, I got to know an FBI agent I think it was the FBI anyway that was sitting in the seat to my right. His job was to train the agents in hand-to-hand combat. Interestingly enough, he said that in a fighting situation, your adrenaline is so high that any kind of complex or multi-faceted move won’t work because your body will become so paralyzed that only the most basic and simple movements will be able to be carried out, especially during someone’s first fighting experience.

Now, we recently met David Radford at Music Makers …for Life in Crystal Lake.  He seemed like a very nice young man.   His story about the FBI agent rings true because simplicity is the key to self-defense.

We know, from extensive personal experience, that when the proverbial poop really hits the fan, we only remember the most basic self-defense techniques.

Our self-defense programs teach simplicity.  While we think martial arts are great, great for exercise, self-discipline, and self-esteem, unless you have studied extensively, they will not save you in a attack.  Our inexpensive system is much more likely to save you because we focus on methods for staying out of danger with some very simple and  intuitive physical techniques, that nearly everyone can master quickly, in case those methods fail.

Check out our Training Calendar for upcoming training session for women and children.

Also, contact us if you would like custom training sessions for your workers or your family.  While the core of the sessions will be the same, we’ll come out to your location, discuss your particular risks and further customize our training to your particular circumstances.
